Paying Your Final NTT Phone Bill

Although you can ask an NTT employee to give an estimate of your latest phone charges, your final bill may not be processed until a month or two after your line has been cancelled/transferred. Note that your final bill may include a termination fee.

There are four options for paying your final phone bill:
1) Keep your bank account open and pay from the account as usual. Make sure to leave enough money in your account to cover all the charges.
2) Tell NTT to send the bill to someone you have delegated to take care of your finances after you leave. Give that person enough money to pay the final bill.
3) Pay in person at the NTT office, if you have your phone disconnected before you leave.
4) If the address isnft changing, but the owner is (i.e. your apartment successor is taking over the phone line), leave enough money for the new owner to pay the bill. In this case, you donft have to disconnect the phone, but the new owner will receive a bill including some of your charges, so make sure you leave enough to cover that amount. You can call NTT to check on your charges.
