| Getting to Sendai Airport There are several easy ways to get to Sendai airport. JR Train The fastest and most convenient way is by train on the new Sendai Airport Line. The Sendai Airport Line connects to the Tohoku Main Line at Natori; you can get on the train at Sendai Station, Nagamachi Station, or Sendai Minami Station. One bus leaves from Sendai Station and two others pick up passengers from various stops in central Sendai. The bus departure times at Sendai airport may vary according to the flight arrival times. The buses basically depart 20 minutes after each domestic arrival and 30 minutes after each international arrival. The Sendai Station bus leaves from the West Exit Bus Pool of Sendai Station, and also stops at Nagamachi-1-chome before arriving at Sendai Airport. From Sendai Station, the one way fare is Y700; from Nagamachi-1-chome Y600 (children go half-price). The bus takes around 40 minutes, but bear in mind that there may be traffic jams during rush hour.
