| Sendai ALT Emergency Plan
If there is an emergency during school hours, follow the directions of the school administration, and please check in with us at Shidoka, too. However, in the event of an emergency not during school hours, if your apartment becomes un-inhabitable, follow the procedure below: 1. Collect your emergency kit (make one!), and relocate (with your family, if applicable) within six hours of the disaster occurring to your designated refuge area. 2. Find your area leader, and tell him/her how you are. 3. Team leaders use the 171 Emergency Phone Message System or the special phones available at the refuge areas to report to Shidoka. Inform us of your group membersf whereabouts/condition. 4. Do not clog the phones needed for emergency response. Try to contact friends in the earthquake zone using the 171 Emergency Phone Message System, and if possible post a message on the Disaster Message Board for your cell phone network. |
