| The city provides a high level of support for its 70 ALTs that is unique within Japan. Sendai employs six Prefectural Advisors consisting of an ALT Advisor, an Educational Advisor, an English Teacher's Consultant, a JET/CIR Supervisor and two CIRs as well as additional Japanese support staff.
